Fractional asers have been around for a long time, and have been used extensively in surgery and esthetics. Newer laser technology has harnessed the power and precision of these ablative lasers to be applied in a variety of ways that just a few years ago has been impossible. It is now possible to precisely control the tissue coagulation and ablation to minimize downtime, create a very predictable outcome, and most importantly, improve the appearance of skin to undo the effects of the environment, stress, and aging.

What happens during the treatment?
After you arrive at the facility, you will have a topical anesthetic cream applied to the treatment area for about 45 to 60 minutes. The topical cream is then removed, your face is cleaned and prepared for the procedure. In some cases, depending on the length of the procedure, you may be given a sedative and oral pain medication. A physician uses a laser to treat the skin - the treatment takes about 20 - 30 minutes. The treatment may feel a bit uncomfortable, but is generally not described by clients as painful. Immediately after the treatment, the skin will appear red, sometimes slightly swollen and a bit uncomfortable. Most clients also report an immediate tightening of the skin. Post care is easy after the treatment. Skin has to be moisturized regularly throughout the day, and cool compresses may be applied as needed. Detailed post-treatment instructions are provided by our staff before you leave.
Who is a good candidate for the treatment?A good candidate for this treatment is someone typically between the age of 18 to 60, with no significant medical conditions that are contra-indicated (i.e. history of skin cancer, diabetes, skin disorders, etc.). If you have sun damage (brown or red spots), uneven skin texture (wrinkles and fine lines), and skin laxity (loose skin), chances are you're a good candidate for this treatment. Your medical history will be reviewed by the physician during your consultation to make sure you are approved to proceed with the treatment.
How much does the treatment cost?
