* Different Bikini Hair Removal Styles:

• French - standing in front of a mirror wearing a bathing suit or undergarment, all hair that is outside of the undergarment around the bikini area is removed. This includes the hair just above the bikini line, and between the legs.
• French Plus - similar to French and adds the labial area for women and genitals for men. A shape can also be added such as a "V", a heart, or a "landing strip".
• Brazilian - All of the hair is removed completely around the bikini area.

Pre-Treatment

• Let the hair grow out for about 2-3 weeks prior to treatment (at least a 1/4 of an inch).
• Use a gentle scrub to clean/prep the area 1 day before the treatment. Use baby oil or a moisturizer to soften the hair.
• If you shaved recently, please allow at least 3 weeks for hair to grow.
• If you are planning a wedding, we strongly advise you to have your first treatment at least 60 days prior to the wedding, and another at least 1 week in advance of the wedding.
• Do not tan or use a tanning cream for at least 1 week prior to the treatment
• If you are on your menstrual cycle, please wear a tampon. Please be aware you may be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
• You may take 2 Extra Strength Tylenol or Ibuprofin for pain/discomfort and to control any inflammation. Please take the medicine at least 20 minutes prior to your appointment.
• Do not apply body lotion to the treated area at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. The treated area needs to be clean, dry and free of any moisturizers.

Post-Treatment

• Avoid going to the gym, hot showering, or useof any harsh soaps after your treatment for at least 24 hours.
• Stay out of the sun and do not tan for at least 4 hours after your treatment.
• Do not apply any product unless provided or prescribed by our office.
• Avoid wearing tight-fitting underwear or clothes for 24 hours.
• If necessary, apply cold compresses to the area (ice cubes or frozen peas in a moistened wash cloth). Never apply ice directly to the skin as it may cause a burn. When applying cold compresses, use a "15 minute on 15 minute off" rule.
• If you an ingrown hair is spotted, do not pick or try to get the ingrown hair. If required, please contact our office for assistance.
• After 1 week, use an exfoliant such as a mild scrub with jojoba beads or a mild glycolic cleanser to avoid ingrown hair.
• Avoid waiting more than 6 weeks between treatments.
