 Why is the Silhouette Lift different from other similar procedures?The sutures used for the Silhoutte Lift are made from polypropylene, a biocompatible material with the human body, and has been used extensively in cardiovascular and opthalmic surgery. Because the sutures are not using barbs, and are therefore easier to place and manipulate during the procedure, and more importantly, the sutures are not painful for the patient. How is the procedure performed?
The procedure takes place in 4 stages. Insertion – Deployment – Anchoring – Suspension - Fixation
The threads are inserted on the bias through a micro-incision in the temporal region. The sutures are passed through with a special micro needle and anchored in the temporal region producing a lift or a suspension, and then fixed in place.
Who is a candidate for the Silhouette Lift?Women or Men, typically starting in the late 30s with mild to moderate facial laxity. This procedure is not a replacement of a full facelift, but does address laxity of the jowls, nasiolabial folds, and cheeks. We also provide a combination treatment with the SMARTLIPO™, where we can provide sculpting and tightening of the chin. We also offer Laser Blepharoplasty to fix the area around the eyes to get rid the puffy saggy skin around the eyes.
