Phalloplasty - Male Enhancement Surgery

Many men are disatisfied with their size.  There are many pills and creams that make wild claims, but the reality of male enhancement is that nearly all tested pills and creams are ineffective, or if there is some small temporary effect, and the effect doesn't last.

Phalloplasty is a time-tested procedure performed either under local anesthetic and sedation or general anesthesia.  The surgery can be made via one inch incision is made just above the base of the penis or via a "V-Y" techinique under the scrotum.  In either case, the elongation is achieved by the release of the suspension ligament that attaches the penis to the pelvis.  This allows the penis to be lengthened by an average of 1.5 - 2 inches. 

What if I want more girth (thickness)?

To increase the thickness (girth) several techniques are used either individully or in combination, depending on the patient's needs.  One of the techniques involves a process of analogous fat transfter (AFT).  AFT involves the gentle suction of your own fat that is then prepared and mixed with stem cells and injected around the shaft of the penis to create more volume.  The stem cells and growth factors used make a significant difference in that the large majority of the fat survives the transfer and provides for a permanent result.  Another common technique is the use of Allo-Derm (http://www.lifecell.com/alloderm-regenerative-tissue-matrix/95/).  Allo-Derm is commonly used in skin grafting for burn victims.  For phalloplasty, Allo-Derm provides a perfect underlying structure to enlarge the circumference of the penis shaft.  Our facility also recommends a combination of both AFT and Allo-Derm for the best possible results. 

To further improve the appearance and size of the penis, we remove much of the fat around the base of the penis, giving the maximum possible result.  A longer and thicker penis creates a more satisfactory sexual experience for both the male and female partner. 

How quick is the recovery from this procedure?

Recovery from the procedure is quick with most men returning to work within a few days.  We also strongly suggest a penis extender device which will properly align the shaft and allow appropriate healing while protecting the penis and ensuring excellent results. Normal sexual activity can be resummed in 4-6 weeks.
