Titan Skin Tightening is a great way to maintain a youthful appearance for years to come.  Titan is a device manufacted by Cutera Corporation. The Titan is based on a intensive flashlamp technology (Intense Pulse Light - "IPL" for short), but with a very specific purpose.  The Titan is able to concentrate the heat it produces for a long 7 second pulse while also cooling the skin.  The result is a treatment where the deepest layers of the skin experience significant heating, while the top layers are kept safe and cool.  When the deep layers of the skin are heated in such a way, the skin reacts much like it does to wound repair.  The skin is stimulated to produce collagen (the structure in the skin that produces its suppleness and texture). 

The result is a gradual smoothing out of crepe-like skin folds, an uplifting effect on the lines around the mouth and jowls, and a general appearance of looking more refreshed.  The effects continues to improve for up to six months.  The Titan is generally recommended to start with a series of 3 treatments, and then continue to maintain with at least 1 treatment per year.  With this approach, many women who start this treatment in their early thirties will be able to forego a facelift for many decades, and maybe for good.
